A Bright Future Awaits You

At Providence Health Care, we create a culture where every person can learn, grow, imagine and bring forward new ideas. Fresh from the classroom, grads bring a perspective that’s still rooted in theory, making them more likely to propose innovative and alternative ways of thinking.
We’re a learning organization where continuous improvement, research, education and innovation are central to our Mission. Whether you’re a recent college/university graduate, you’ll find the challenges and career opportunities that are right for you in a variety of areas across our organization.

Employer Paid Specialty Nursing Training Opportunities

Registered Nurses who want to specialize can join a long history of education at PHC.

Specialties include Emergency, Maternity (Neonatal/Perinatal), Operating Room (OR), High Acuity, Critical Care (ICU/CCU/Cath Lab/CSICU/PAR), and Hemodialysis (Nephrology). With exemption of the in-house Perioperative (Operating Room) program, all courses are done through BCIT’s Specialty Nursing Program.

Employed Student Nurse Program

Providence Health Care’s Employed Student Nurse (ESN/ESPN) program provides an opportunity for RN and RPN students to continue their professional development and become part of a committed interdisciplinary team.

This paid employment experience allows students to consolidate the knowledge and skills learned in school while gaining increased exposure to the clinical setting.

PHC New Graduate (NG) Program

Once you have gained employment with PHC you will automatically be part of the NG Program.

Whether you are an RN, LPN or RPN hired in either a casual, part time or full time position you are part of the program. Once you are hired, your operations leader/manager will schedule you for New Graduate Nurse orientation where you can meet the educators of the program and find out more.
